Music
I completed a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music under the tutelage of Chicago Symphony Orchestra member, Blair Milton. I also received pedagogical training with Stacia Spencer, string coordinator of the Northwestern Strings Academy.
Since graduating, I have performed in major metropolitan areas including Chicago, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. My most recent musical endeavors have been with the Santa Monica Symphony, the Westside Chamber Orchestra, and was a founding member of Put A String On It, SoCal’s premier music ensemble for wedding, parties, and private events. Aside from my classical training, I’ve had unique opportunities as a stage performer. I have rocked out with bands Trampled by Turtles and The Apache Relay at venues such as the Fonda Theater, the El Rey, and Lake Tahoe’s WinterWonderGrass Festival. I have also been featured as a recording artist for films composed by Andrew Edwards, including his score for the film Alex & Ali and Swing State.
Dance
I began my professional dance journey with Chicago Tap Theatre, a Windy City-based company that promotes tap dance through story-based shows and live music. With CTT, I performed across the United States performing works choreographed by artistic director, Mark Yonally, as well as by other tap dance legends including Brenda Bufalino and Max Pollak. Some of my performing highlights with CTT have been at the Sunday Poetry Slam at Chicago’s Green Mill Cocktail Lounge, Stam-Pede at New York City’s Symphony Space, and Spring To Dance in St. Louis, MO, as well as in CTT productions of Tidings of Tap!, Eyes Without a Face, and Totally Tap-ular!. In Las Vegas, I performed regularly as a freelance dancer and as a member of Tony Coppola’s Rhythm Ensemble. She has made a number of live appearances for events such as the ArtLIVE! Gala at the Smith Center, CW Las Vegas Channel 3 News, Super Summer Theatre, and the Las Vegas Tap Festival Showcase.
I also enjoy sharing my passion for tap dancing through teaching. Previously, I have been on faculty at Evolve Dance Center , Arabesque Dance and Fitness Studio, The Factory Dance, and Sole Intensity Dance Academy.
I’m also an experienced director and choreographer. As five-year member of Northwestern University’s premier student tap dance company, TONIK Tap, I led the group as artistic director creating multiple collaborative performances with acapella groups, other dance groups, and alumni. In Las Vegas, I choreographed for multiple dance studios including The Project at Evolve Dance Center.
